Remote Software Support is a chargeable technical service, delivered via secure remote access or screen-sharing. What Remote Software Support Is Used For Remote Software Support is suitable for: RIP software configuration and troubleshooting Firmware settings and parameter verification Driver installation and configuration Print queue and job handling issues Colour, white layer, and pass configuration review Software error diagnosis Post-installation setup or reconfiguration This service allows Laserprints.co.uk to directly view and adjust software settings, significantly reducing misconfiguration-related downtime. How the Remote Support Session Works Booking & Advance Payment Remote Software Support is scheduled in advance A 50% advance payment is required before the session begins Secure Remote Connection The client installs or enables a remote access tool ( TeamViewer) Access is granted only for the duration of the session No permanent access is retained Live Software Diagnosis The engineer reviews current configurations Faults or misconfigurations are identified Changes are discussed with the client before being applied Configuration & Testing Adjustments are made live Test prints or software operations are carried out Results are reviewed and confirmed Outcome & Resolution If the reported issue is resolved and normal operation restored, the session is deemed successful A follow-up invoice is issued for any outstanding balance Security & Data Protection Remote access is granted only for the duration of the session No data is copied, stored, or retained Access credentials remain under the client’s control at all times Liability & Risk Changes are made based on professional judgement and client-provided information. Pricing & Payment Terms Remote Software Support – Flat Rate: £95 + VAT 50% advance payment required prior to the session Where full resolution is achieved, 100% of the fee becomes payable Where resolution is not achieved, only the advance payment applies
