4 Head - I3200 - DTF - Capping station repair

A client's 4 Head DTF machine had an unresponsive capping station, causing a lack of ink priming and wetting function,

This halted any and all production runs due to the breakdown.

Our engineering team sprung into action and one was on-site to action a resolution for the non working machine.

First was a deep dive into the control system of the capping station, motor phase testing, and feedback loop check, to which all checks were electronically sound.

Now onto the mechanical, as seen from the photos this is a high production machine, which comes with plenty of waste ink cycles. (If you know you know)

Our engineer, took the initiative and warranted a full strip down and rebuild was the only way forward.

Getting the station onto the bench we found multiple drag points causing mechanical binding, in turn this stopped any downward action of the station.

Once fully stripped down, a deep clean, and rebuild was successfully actioned.

With a clean install of this station, the machine and production run was successfully bought back online.
